Football Saturday

Another week has gone by and I find myself tired after another football Saturday. Christopher's team won and played great. JC's team played great but lost. Bad refs didn't help that situation. The kids on the other team were like twice as big as ours but they played their hearts out and gave it their all. Their coach should be proud. He was still on his honeymoon but Joe did talk to him shortly after the game. And we had beautiful weather!

Hope everyone has had a great week.

A whole week

A whole week has gone by, hard to believe. JC's team won their game on Saturday morning 18-0. They all played awesome. Christopher's team had a bye as their coach was getting married at 5 pm and he thought one game was enough for the day. We attended the wedding which was beautiful. We had a great time especially because it was family oriented. Both JC's coach and his new wife have kids from previous marriages.

Today was all about relaxing and doing laundry. I did have to get dressed and purchase a new microwave as our died. It was well over 20 years old.

Hope everyone has a great week to come.

Football Saturday

Well it has started! Our first football Saturday. Now these continue until December 16th! Christopher's team kicked butt!! He played so well. Twice he prevented the other team from scoring! JC's team didn't do so well but they sure played great. JC had a hard time at quarterback because the grass was wet and when the center snapped him the ball it would slip thru his hands. Better luck next time. We spent the day with my mom. She came to watch the boys play and help us clear out some more junk out of our house. We load up her truck and it only costs her $5 to dump it.

We got a street light on our road! We are so excited about this. They actually put one in at the end of the road where you turn right onto our road. So we actually got two. We are not sure why this happened but we don't care. Now the street actually has some light.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Try to stay dry and warm!

No school already

Yes, tomorrow the kids have a day off from school. The boys' have their first football games this weekend. If anyone wants a schedule, let me know and I'll e mail it to you. We received JC's school pictures and they are soooo good. I received a sheet of black and white pictures and I cried they are so good. It does pay to work picture day at school. I would have never received the b&w pics had I not worked it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I did it

I did it!! I cooked salmon that actually tasted really good (per Joe and JC). I know, I swore I would never cook fish in my house if I couldn't fix liver. Well, we have some neighbors that gave us some fresh salmon they had caught and I know how much JC loves it so I made it. I called faithful mom and she told me her secret ways of cooking salmon. Of course she told me the best way is with a bbq but since we don't have a working one of those, I used the trusty oven.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and everyone has a good week.

Sunny Saturday

It has been a few days since my last post....sounds like I am going to confessional. Anyway, Lisa is now home and hopefully enjoying her daughter's party. Yesterday was extremely rough on her and me. I don't like to see my friends in pain especially when there is nothing I can do but hug her or hold her hand. But we all got thru the service. My friend Stephanie was there also to lend support to Lisa and we ended up supporting each other as well. It brought back memories for both of us of lost ones. There was a poem read at the service that when I get it I am going to post because I really truly enjoyed it.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

It's been a few days

I know it's been a few days since I last posted. I have managed to catch a cold. My friend Lisa's grandmother passed away Monday morning. She will be coming into to town for about 48 hours to attend the funeral. I will be attending it with her. It is a big loss for her to deal with.

The boys are still loving football. We did find out their first game was moved back until the 14th. So once I have a schedule I will let you all know.

Hope everyone is having a good week.
