I'm In, I'm In

Hey everyone....I am a fully registered college student! Oh, what have I done. I start classes on January 3rd. Two of my classes are labs and one class that I have to attend is Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 7:10 pm. I am really nervous but excited. My advisor said most all of the students are over 30 and they are all women. I will still be able to have my babysitting kids so that will help us out financially. I am actually adding a day for Wyatt so he will be here Monday, Wednesday and Friday's. I talk to his mom and Joe will have to watch him the last 1/2 hour on Wednesday's so I can leave for class.

Well we are off to football practice.

Thursday

Well the kids are off to school on time. Which is a good thing because I have my test at school today at 1:30. I am nervous. I haven't taken a test since I was 18!! AGH!!!!!

I will post after I get home and let you know how many more grey hairs I have!!!!

SNOW

Well, the boys' enjoyed their day home with the snow. A couple of inches is all we got but boy did they have fun. A dad on our street hooked up a saucer to his riding lawn mower and was pulling the kids on it around the culdesac. They had a blast. What a dad!!

I got the pellet stove up and running. It helps some. Of course I slept on the couch in that room last night. My poor furnace is working overtime to try to keep this house warm. When it's in the teens this house isn't meant for that.

The boys' have a two hour late start. Which is nice for me because I got to sleep in some. Of course they were up and playing video games but they let me be.

Gotta get busy..dishes are stacked everywhere and I need to shower...yes that is me you can smell.

Chow!!

It's Snowing!!!

It's about 9:15pm and it's snowing!!!! We watched the Seahawks play in the snow at home for the first time ever and they managed to win!!

I went and sat my butt at school today for 1 1/2 hours to meet with an advisor to find out I have to take the compass test and then meet with an advisor for my particular program I am interested in. So I am suppose to test tomorrow afternoon but with the snow I will have to see how things are in the morning. Hopefully the boys' are just late and school isn't cancelled.

Dryer is in and working wonderful. It was a chore to get in but we managed. I have done lots of laundry just because I know our clothes won't get burned or holes in them!!

Chow for now!!!

I GOT IT!!!! I GOT IT!!!!

I got my letter today stating I am receiving a FPell grant for school. I am going to attend a seminar/orientation hopefully Monday to get all the info I need and hopefully register for classes. New student registration starts Monday.

I also bought a new dryer today. Gotta hit up some friends with trucks so hopefully we can get it tomorrow. Great...now I gotta clean out the laundry room. At least it will be cleaned out and done with. And I will have a dryer that works and doesn't burn/eat our clothes!!!!

Have a great day!!!

Thanksgiving

Well the day went off ok. My mom had a hard time getting here but managed to get here, eat and turn around and headed back home. The boys' had a good time there. They got to play in some snow and were excited about that. Joe worked 10 hours but got home as we were dishing up dinner. Perfect timing!!

I got up and did the 5 am shopping thing. Yes, I got some good deals but the crowds are crazy. I am not sure I will do that again. Plus it's no fun going shopping by myself. I wanted to go this afternoon but as pathetic as it is, I don't have any friends that were available. I guess that's what happens when you only have 3 friends. My best friend was at a funeral, my other best friend wasn't feeling good/packing to go home and my other good friend was visiting her mother who just had surgery and was going to visit another family member whom is in the hospital with a short time to live.

Tiffany picked up the boys' and took them to the Super Mall and then brought them here to pick up some clothes so they can stay the night at her house. Another night of peace and quiet. Good things since I am getting tired. I never took a nap after getting up at 5 am.

Till next time.

Wow

Today is Wednesday...they day before Thanksgiving. I am feeling a lot of thanks right now as the boys' went to my mom's yesterday and will be coming home on Thursday just in time for dinner. My poor husband is working Thursday but it is by his choice. OVERTIME!!!! We are hopefully going to be purchasing a new dryer on Friday. Ours burns and eats clothes.

Some sad news...our daughter Tiffany has lost her grandfather. He passed away Wednesday morning. He was her mother's father. Seems as though everyone close to me has lost someone close to them. I am just glad I am here to help them in anyway possible if they need me.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Monday

Yeah...it's Monday. It started out so beautiful and turned black and rainy! The boy's have not school on Wednesday but that is ok. Nana is coming to pick them up tomorrow afternoon and they will stay with her until about noonish on Thursday when they come home for dinner. We are having Ham and fried potatoes instead of the traditional turkey with all the fixings. The boy's don't like any of it so there is no point in fighting with them to eat a meal I have busted my butt to fix. I'll just buy a hunk of turkey breast to make sandwiches with.

That's all for now.

What a day

Today Anthony had his tonsil surgery. He is doing ok..eating popsicles and dinner. He should be home after breakfast. Glad that went ok.

My friend Stephanie lost a very special member of their family on Wednesday Night. It has been a hard time for her family. My heart goes out the them, especially Brendan. I just want to scoop him up and make it all ok. I know I can't but you never want kids to hurt.

Tomorrow is football. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

That one lasted only 8 hours

Well, our power is back on!!! It went out when Stephanie and her kids were here about 2 pm and it came back on while we were all sleeping about 10 pm. OF course now it's 11:30 ish and I will be awake for hours. Hopefully there is something good on TV! The boys' are "camping" on the livingroom floor. It's amazing how they need to be all together when things are out of the norm. Joe is the only one who slept in a bed.

Hope everyone survives the weather!!

So far so good!

Ok I did the "upgrade" and for me I don't really notice a difference because I don't have music set up to mine and all that stuff.

Well I scored at Value Village on Monday. It's amazing the good clothes people get rid of that my kids love. I bought a pair of pants for me, 2 shirts for Joe, 2 shorts and 4 shirts for JC and 4 shirts for Christopher and only spent $24.48. I was so impressed with myself. Everyone loved what I got them. I probably should have saved them for x-mas gifts but oh well.

Hope everyone stays warm and dry tomorrow, it's suppose to be nasty.

Another Soogy Saturday

Well it was another soggy Saturday for football. But they boys' had fun while they playesd and froze when they didn't.

Stephanie and I got together to do a make and take crafts at Ben Franklin when our friend Joy introduces us to so many new craft idea's that our head spun and Stephanie tried to buy out part of the store. Once you find a good and somewhat easy idea...you run with it. Great Christmas gift idea's.

It's off to bed to try to get some sleep.

Chow for now.

Kids and Rain

Another day of kids home and another day of rain. I got a call at 6 am from Tiffany telling me they had just lost power. I loaded the boys up about 8:45 and we went to get her and Anthony. They still had no power. OF course as we pulled in it came on but they came back to our house for some play time. On our way back home, I picked up Aspen. She should be picked up between 4-5pm. OF course since it's raining, the boys are bored. Nothing to do! Maybe clean your room since I spent two hours this morning picking up everyone's mess in the house. I cleaned so good now my back is out. That stupid pinched nerve...the same as always.

At least now I have an excuse to not get the rest of the house clean (the back half).

Hope everyone has a good weekend...we have to report to football at 7:15 AM tomorrow. At least we will be done by 10:30-11. We are going to try to make Brendan's last soccer game.

Chow for now!!!

A Time to reflect

I always think my life is bad..kids driving me crazy...my house never looking the way I want, etc. but after watching the news all day and seeing how people have lost their home and cherished family items it makes me stop and reflect on just how good I do have it. Yes, my yard is flooded and my kids are still driving me crazy but my house is not flooded, I am not "cut-off" from vicility. I just hope everyone is safe and families are able to stay together. We have family in Fall City and know several families who live in Orting. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them. And right now it is not raining!!! Hard to believe.

These thoughts come from reading my friend Stephanie's blog. She was all mushy about her kids and it got me to thinking....I know scary thought. I think she is the only one who reads my blogs anyhow. Thanks!!!

Rain go away

Christopher's team had their first loss on Saturday and JC's team totally kicked butt! IT was lovely sitting in the rain and wind but hey...it's the life of a sports mom.

We had Anthony for the night on Sunday and of course I choose this night to get really sick. I have had a really bad cough again but I choose to get a fever of 102.7 and was up most of the night while eveyone else in the house was snoring. So Anthony went home early this morning and I went back to bed which is where I am headed again.

This weather has knocked our dish out so there is no TV. Hopefully it's not like this come game time tonight or I am going to have an upset house!!! It's raining so hard right now I worry it is just gonna come thru the roof. It was quite soothing when I layed down earlier. Hopefully it will work it's magic again.

Chow for now.....

Why oh why???

Why must our school district curse me with 4 1/2 days in a row??? The boys are driving me nuts. Of course it doesn't help that I have a cold and today I have 2 babysitting kids. One of which is trying to sleep which I don't know how he is since the boys' are fighting non stop. The weather is gross and all I want to do is crawl back in bed and get some sleep. I have been fighting to stay awake all day.

Normally, JC would be at a friends but his conference did not go well so he is in a world of trouble. His football coach is even willing to bench him if things don't change.

It doesn't seem as though any one reads this so I guess I can pretty much just use this as a journal. I am still waiting to hear about my financial aid. It makes me really frustrated having to wait on others. But I am nervous about school. I hope I am choosing a career path I will enjoy. I know the medical field is in demand so I shouldn't have a hard time finding a job but I just hope I like it.

I did enjoy shopping with my mom last Sunday. I love my jeans and my new shirts. It's nice to look decent when I go somewhere. The jackets is my favorite. IT's so comfortable but it looks so nice. I need to send her a thank you card!! She does so much for me and my family. I am very fortunate to have her. I don't want to imagine life without her yet.

I am feeling kinda alone right now...I call and leave messages with my friends but never get calls back. I know everyone is busy with their families and such but at least I have Deena. We talk almost everyday. And I know no matter when I call she'll take a few minutes out of whatever she is doing for me. I am lucky to have her as my friend.

That's all for now...pretty depressing stuff huh??? I know!!!
